The Honorable Donald J. Trump*

45th President of the United States

Family Research Council

Donald J. Trump defines the American success story. On November 8, 2016, he remarkably won the Presidency in his first-ever run for any political office.  He was elected President in the largest Electoral College landslide for a Republican in 28 years. He won more than 2,600 counties nationwide, the most since President Reagan in 1984. And he received the votes of more than 62 million Americans, the most ever for a Republican candidate. These voters rallied behind Mr. Trump’s commitment to rebuilding our country and disrupting the political status quo that had failed to deliver results.

He has set a new executive standard on pro-life policy. His administration has expanded existing prohibitions on federal funding for abortion overseas, cut abortion providers out of the Title X Family Planning Program, and established strong restrictions on aborted fetal tissue research. He is also the first president to speak at the March for Life. In addition to these strong pro-life credentials, he has reformed existing transgender policies for both schools and the military, defended faith-based adoption agencies, and protected health care workers’ right to conscience. Under his leadership, the Department of Justice has vigorously enforced religious freedom protections, especially protecting the peoples’ right to religious assembly and worship during the coronavirus pandemic. President Trump’s support for religious freedom also extends abroad: he signed a historic executive order advancing international religious freedom, started the International Religious Freedom Alliance, and confronted religious freedom violations in China. Finally, President Trump has confirmed over 200 federal judges that will interpret the law as written, rather than interpret it according to their personal policy preferences.

President Trump has been married to his wife, Melania, for twelve years, and they are parents to their son, Barron. Mr. Trump also has four adult children, Don Jr., Ivanka, Eric, and Tiffany, as well as 10 grandchildren.

Mr. Watson and his wife, Kirsten, established a public charity called One More in January 2008. The Foundation serves the community with faith in God as their foundation.

Mr. Watson’s latest project is Divided Hearts of America, a film that looks at the debate around abortion in America. As the Executive Producer, Watson hopes to unveil the truth about abortion, the laws, the history, and where our country is headed.
